Jacob Bailey Plus
JB Plus originally started out as my second channel (hence the ‘+/Plus’), but it’s probably the one I’m the most thrilled about. While I do love gaming, it doesn’t give me a lot of creative freedom when it comes to ideas. Any idea I have had for JBG had to align with the one genre I picked as my niche (cars, vehicles, and racing games), and finding ideas that others hadn’t already done became incredibly difficult. Especially on a platform with thousands upon thousands of people eager to have a successful gaming channel too.
That’s where JB Plus entered the conversation, and made things exciting for me. I’ve refused to give my second channel a niche or specific topic to focus on. I’m only young, and while I do have a few hobbies that I’m focused on right now, I know that as I grow, over time the things I enjoy and spend my time and energy on will change. I am really thrilled to not have that restriction.
My channel is dedicated to me, my life, my family, and the crazy stuff we get up to. Whether it’s splashing through a ford (fiord/fjord), or building and lightly animating my Lego models. I enjoy going to car shows, and cycling with my sister, and just videography in general.
As of today (22/05/23), I only have 7 subscribers, 2,595 views, and 4 videos (1 of those 4 being a short). I wasn’t joking when I said it was a new channel.
Something I have to keep in mind as I watch it grow, though, is that YouTube thrives when a channel has a succinct and coherent topic. With my channel being all over the place as far as topics are concerned, my channel isn’t likely to grow as fast as I’d like it to. At least I can sit comfortably in my web of creativity, unhindered by the threat of sticking to a niche.
That being said, it’d mean the world to me if you went over there and subscribed (and press the little bell). It’ll be great motivation to stay creative!
